Erin Sweeney

Erin Sweeney lives and works in southern New Hampshire. She received her MFA in Book Arts and Printmaking from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, where she was awarded the Elizabeth C. Roberts Prize for Graduate Book Arts.  She also has a BFA in Sculpture from the Maine College of Art in Portland, Maine.


Sweeney exhibits nationally, most recently at Abecedarian Gallery in Denver, Colorado, Anderson Creative in Canton, Ohio and Seager Gray Gallery and Bedford Gallery at the Lesher Center for the Arts in California. Also recently, she was an artist-in-residence at Maine College of Art’s Stephen Pace House and at Cló Ceardlann in Donegal, Ireland. Additionally, Sweeney is an instructor, teaching book arts workshops at her Lovely In The Home Press. This last year she has also taught workshops at the Visual Arts Center of New Jersey, Philadelphia Museum of Art, Cló Ceardlann, and the Philadelphia Center for the Book. She is a member of the NH State Council on the Arts’ Artist Roster. 


Sweeney’s collaborations across the fine arts disciplines include work with Paul Besaw and The Solo Workshop,  an ongoing, multidisciplinary investigation of solo performance in Burlington, VT.  This is her first project with Agnes Table.
